Bikeability Training for Cubs and Scouts

When:
Mon 23rd to Tue 24th Aug 2021
Where:
Your venue
Description:
We are working with Sporting NRG to bring Bikeability level one and two to Cub Packs and Scout Troops across Blackburn with Darwen. Completing the course also completes the Cyclist Badge requirements.

The training will be FREE and be delivered in 4 sessions over two days. The days will run from 10am-12pm then 12:30pm to 2:30pm each day. 30 minutes for lunch.

Cubs and Scouts will need to bring their own bikes in a roadworthy condition (working brakes, pumped up tyres), a cycle helmet and clothing appropriate to the weather. Children who have already completed the award are still OK to take part.

For leaders to consider:

Min group size 6, maximum 18. The first session will need to be run on a flat area (school playground/car park) which can be coned off. Access to toilets will be needed. Each group will need some adult support (2 leaders or occasional helpers) to support the instructors delivering the sessions. You can join your cubs and scouts together to fill up the places. Website
