Delivering Scouting to Young People in the Blackburn Area

The Scout Association is the UK's largest mixed youth organisation with more than 450,000 members in the UK and more across the world.

Our innovative spirit and ability to make things happen plays a vital role in the development of young people everywhere and these available roles will give you the chance to make a big impact on the lives of young people.

District Explorer Scout CommissionerThe role of a District Exploer Scout Commissioner is to ensure the effective operation of the Explorer Scout Section and the development of Explorer Scouting within the District, in accordance with the purpose, principles and policies of The Scout Association.
Assistant District Commissioned for CubsTo work in partnership with the District Commissioner to ensure that effective operation of the Cub Section in their District in accordance with the rules as laid down in POR of The Scout Association.
District Media Development ManagerTo develop brand awareness so that the Scout Brand is integral to all media work generated across the Scout County To work with Young people and make sure that they are actively involved in media work and are managed and supported. The voice of a young person should be present in more that 50% of coverage.
